Susie Wright

hen2.jpg

Susie Wright takes inspiration for her work from her Scottish heritage, an interest in natural history and an appreciation of architecture.

Susie Wright (AKA Suzy q and the owls) is influenced by her native Scotland, architecture and natural history and can often be found in the mineral section at the Natural History Museum in London, where she lives.

Her work explores urban and rural landscapes and investigates their aesthetic and geographical make up. Suzy’s work combines 2D images and 3D models, in a variety of media, echoing the methods that architects use to convey how a proposed project would look once completed.

Suzy prefers working with black 0.2 fine liners and her paper of choice is 59.4x84.1cm, 130gsm Stockwell drawing cartridge. Suzy is currently an artist in residence at Central Saint Martins’ printmaking department as well as working as an illustrator.
